How can I make a pineapple flavored cupcake using a box mix base?
I’m not culinary inclined, but I have an idea to make pina colada cupcakes for a cookout this weekend. Is there a way to flavor a basic box cake mix with pineapple?
I don’t know about basic box cakes, but if you buy a boxed angel food cake just pour in 20 oz can of crushed pineapple, instead of using water like the box suggests, then follow the directions for mixing and instead of using a normal pan make cupcakes. Just pour the batter into a 30-36 lined muffin tin and bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until nicely golden brown. For topping, use either cool whip or make your own w/ powdered sugar thinned with milk, pour over cupcakes and top with pineapple rings for a pretty presentation.
