cute ways of decorating mini cupcakes?
I’m making mini cupcakes and mini brownies for a meeting and I wanted to get some ideas on how to make them really cute. I already bought the cake mix and icing and some pastel sprinkles and since I’m making enough to serve a lot of people, I’ve kind of already spent a lot of money. So, I’d appreciate ideas that don’t require me to go out and spend more money.
I have most of the regular supplies at home, like sugar, eggs etc. But I don’t have vanilla/almond extract, gelatin. I also have pastel food coloring, but as the cupcakes are going to be red velvet, I’m not sure I want to use them. Also, I need ideas for the mini brownies.
I’m really looking more for design tips, but whatever! If you have something useful suggest away!

ok this is kind of simplish…but…you choose a color of icing…. yellow or pink would prob be best with red velvet ….take an icing bag….smear yellow icing on one side of the inside of the bag…just a little…and smear more of the yellow icing on the other…then you glop a lot of plain white icing in the middle…ice the cupcake with the bag moving it in a swirl…..then you have swirly multi-colored cupcakes………..pink would look just as good though…. hope this helps..
