24 Cupcake Boxes Questions

Can I substitute a baking pan with a casserole?
I want to make a cake (Im not much of a baker) and I don’t have the required baking pans that it mentions on the box, which are:
2 8-inch
2 9-inch
13×9-inch
Round T
24 cupcake pan
I have a 1½ qt. casserole tho! Can I use that instead?? And if so, I’m assuming I’d be pouring the entire batter and baking “once”, right? Maybe bake it 25% more time as I read somewhere that if the “substituting container” is “deeper” to do this. Think it’ll be alright??
Thx so much! My daughter has always loved to bake and is so good at it, but she just received a well-deserved promotion and I wanted to bake “her” a cake for once ![]()
PS: I dont have ANY of those pans! Just the 1½ qt. casserole… period.
I think your 1.5 qt. casserole might over flow. Only fill it 3/4 and then bake. Any extra cake batter can be baked in a smaller other container!
Don’t forget to grease and flour the casserole or you won’t be able to get it out in one piece!
